Scott Vair
President/CEO
Scott lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia and has served with World Orphans since 2006. He loves working with our talented and passionate staff, seeing children cared for by loving families, and witnessing the impact churches are making on their communities around the world.

Kate Borders
Sr. Director of Operations
Kate lives in Alcoa, Tennessee and has served with World Orphans since 2009. Kate reflects that when she traveled internationally, a highlight was meeting our church partners and those who cared for the children. “Now, it’s an honor to mobilize our staff and church partners.”

Kathy Davis
Sr. Director of Wholistic Care
Kathy lives in Maryville, Tennessee and has served with World Orphans since 2010. Kathy shares that she has experienced firsthand that real hope and lasting wholistic transformation comes through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Mark Gumm
Sr Director, Ethiopia, South Africa, and Haiti
Mark and his wife, Julie, adopted two children from Ethiopia in 2008, an experience that deeply shaped his calling. After serving in church ministry for eight years, Mark has returned to World Orphans to foster relationships between U.S. and international churches.

Mike Krick
Sr. Director of Strategic Partnershihps
Mike lives in Lake City, Michigan and has served with World Orphans since 2009. Love for the “least of these” drew him to the ministry of World Orphans, now overseeing all our strategic partnerships and events that communicate the message of World Orphans to the masses.

Randy Phillips
Sr. Director of Church Partnership
Randy lives in Rockford, Michigan and has served with World Orphans since 2018. Randy recruits and fosters long-term relationships between US and international churches where World Orphans works, in order to promote long-term development of gospel-centered orphan care.

Chad Smith
Sr. Director of Latin America
Chad lives in Michigan and has served with World Orphans since 2017. Chad joined the World Orphans team in order to lead a team of Guatemalan nationals, seeking to grow them in the areas of leadership and spiritual growth, while strengthening pastors and local leaders to answer God’s call to care for the vulnerable.
