church partnership

A complementary relationship between two churches guided by a common, gospel-centered vision and sustained by an equal willingness to learn, to serve, to grow, and to extend grace to one another under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

“After our first trip to Guatemala, it became abundantly clear that our two churches needed one another…and the mutual benefits have measured well beyond what we first envisioned.”

How it Works

Churches working together

becoming a partner

World Orphans identifies international churches in developing countries who already have a heart to care for orphaned and vulnerable children. Once a church is identified and due diligence is completed, that church becomes available for partnership. Simultaneously, World Orphans identifies churches in the US who already have a heart for orphaned and vulnerable children. We then work with the US church and the international church to partner them together for the purpose of caring for families and preventing vulnerable children from becoming orphaned.

components of caring for the whole child

wholistic care for children and families

One of the most distinctive and vital parts of World Orphans Church Partnership is care for the whole child and family, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, and providing opportunities for economic empowerment. Our primary method of doing that is through our wholistic, Home Based Care (HBC) model, which supports, encourages, and monitors orphaned and vulnerable children and helps preserve, strengthen, and empower families through the local church.

Values of church partnership

setting expectations

Partnership expectations would be that both churches are engaged, invested relationally, complimenting one another by building each other’s capacity to serve. Each partnership is facilitated by a World Orphans Church Partnership Director, guiding communication, vision, and expectations for the partnership. Additionally, each partnership will be self monitored through the lens of empowering the church to care for orphaned children and vulnerable families, guided by our 10 Values of Church Partnership.
